What are some quality sofa brands, and a good resource for customer reviews?

My wife and I want to buy some new couches for our living room, but we're having a hard time figuring out what brands make quality sofas. The salesman recommended Rowe, but I read online that they went bankrupt a few years ago (I know they're fine now, but that still worries me) along with some bad reviews. I know there are some furniture dealers here, so please help! What are some quality sofa brands? BTW, if you say Rooms to Go or Ashley, I will delete your comment ;-). I'm looking around the $1000 range. We want a sofa that will last, but I don't have the money to get super nice ones. Also, is there a good website that offers good reviews of sofas? I can't find a good one. Thanks for your help!
