Should I do what I can to help or should I let the priest have another nervous breakdown?

We have a pastor who was sent away "to rest" for 4 weeks. We didn't know if he would be returning. Finally, in the 3rd week it was decided, he was returning. On arriving back, his problems in running a parish that is practically bankrupt were waiting for him. I hear, he is starting to get nervous and worried AGAIN! I'm wondering if I should step in and offer to help him? Perhaps, talking to a friend, seeing a movie, having lunch will ease the tension, just enough, so he can handle it. Or, am I delaying the inevitable? If a person can't stand the heat..... What is YOUR pearl of wisdom on said case???
