Did Greece become bankrupt because they hosted the olympics 2004?

borrowing heavily to build the olympics didn't help . most of their problem was buying what they were told were triple A bonds from investment banks on wall street that turned out to be crap backed by sub prime mortgages ( iceland too ) . the banks knew they were crap . the banks are the ones who lobbyied ( bribed ) the senate banking committee to repeal the glass stegull act back in 1998 , that let the banks play casino with our money .
